Pastor
Blanton is a native Californian born in Bakersfield, CA and raised in
Wasco, CA. He attended and graduated from the Wasco school system.
Upon completion of high school, he enrolled in Bakersfield Junior
College, eventually graduation from Fresno State College in 1966 with a
degree in Sociology and Anthropology. From 1967 to 1972 he taught
in the public school system in Oildale, California. God called he
and his wife to full time Christian service in 1972. After serving
as an administrator in two Northern California Christian schools and
spending a year at Los Angeles Baptist Theological Seminary in Newhall,
California, Pastor Blanton was called as a missionary pastor to
Vacaville Bible Church in the spring of 1976. The church left
missionary status in 1979 and he has served as pastor and administrator
of Faith Academy since that time.
Pastor Blanton has been married to his wife, Linda, a childhood schoolmate, for 43 years. They are the parents of three sons and a daughter and the grandparents of six grandsons and two granddaughters.
